FA Cup Preview: Arsenal-Chelsea and Manchester United-Everton
The semifinals for the English Football Association Cup (or the FA Cup) will take place this weekend at Wembley stadium. The 90th Minute will be providing live blogs on both games (which will start about 15-20 minutes before kick-off). Here’s a preview of both matches.
Arsenal against Chelsea – Saturday – 17:15 GMT – Two teams who struggled during the middle part of the season but have recovered and finding their form. Both had strong victories in the Champions League and will want to add another trophy with an FA Cup win. Chelsea still have a slight chance of the Premier League title but will probably shift most of its focus to the Champions League. Arsenal are finally healthy and both teams have plenty of attacking options. Chelsea have been in great form and their away record will be the difference. Prediction – Chelsea win 2-1
Manchester United against Everton – Sunday – 16:00 GMT – United won a tough test on the road at Porto while Everton is in 6th place in the league table. Everton will want be the underdogs but could make their season with a FA Cup final appearance. While Man U has struggled in league play, they are still going for a record 5 trophies this season and Sir Alex Ferguson will have his players ready. Everton could make it close ut Man U are a better team. Prediction – Manchester United win 2-0
