Honduras defeated Canada 1-0 on 35th minute penalty converted by Walter Martinez. It was a game that Canada seemed to have control early but they couldn’t convert on their 12 shots, 5 of which were on goal. Canada was playing without a few regulars, most noticably Dwayne De Rosario who chose to return to his club Toronto FC in the MLS. The win for Honduras puts them in the semifinals agains the winner of the United States/Panama match.
