The World Football Challenge ended Sunday with Chelsea taking on Club America. The two teams were playing to decide the winner of the preseason tournament in the United States.
Chelsea defeats Club America 2-0 – Video Highlights – Both teams had chances throughout the match but Chelsea was able to score 2 second half goals as they won the World Football Challenge with a 2-0 victory over Club America. The first half saw Chelsea get several good chances but America somehow escaped without conceding a goal. America had some chances of their own but overall couldn’t seem to match the play of Chelsea. The 2nd half saw Chelsea continue to get pressure onthe Mexican side and eventually break through with a goal Di Santo in the 76th minute. Di Santo continued his strong play by setting up Malouda for the second goal in the 78th minute. America tried to mount an attack late in the 2nd half but couldn’t as Chelsea continued its unbeaten streak in their US preseason tour.
