Puerto Rico Islanders took an early lead at Saprissa but the home team responded with 3 unanswered goals to win. The Islanders goal came from Mediate in the 25th minute while Saprissa responded quickly with an equalizer from Jairo Arrieta Ovando in the 33rd minute. The next two came from Watler Centeno Corea in the 39th minute and the final from Armando Alonso Rodriguez in the 48th minute.
