UEFA 2010 World Cup Qualifying Group Standings – Saturday September 5, 2009

After several matches on Saturday September 5, 2009, the Group Standings in the UEFA have changed a bit. Russia has closed the gap to one point behind Germany in Group 4 while Switzerland now leads Group 2 after their 2-0 win over Greece. Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland both got results to solidify their second place standings in their groups.

France had a disappointing result at home as they could have moved closer to Group 7 leaders Serbia but had a 1-1 draw against Romania. Overall, many of the favorites to make it to next summers World Cup Finals are still in contention for a qualification spot.
