UEFA (Europe) 2010 World Cup Qualifying Group Standings through Wednesday, September 9, 2009

world-cup-2010The UEFA (Europe) Region had another set of matches on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 with some key matches. The most notable was England who qualified for next year’s FIFA 2010 World Cup Final with a 5-1 victory over Croatia. A few teams improved their chances while some lost all hope, such as Scotland.

Most countries have two matches left so there’s still a chance the standings could change and the only countries that have earned automatic qualification in Europe are England, Spain, and Netherlands. Full video highlights of Wednesday’s matches can be found on our other site, Free Soccer Highlights.

The next set of matches are on October 10th and 14th. Here are the latest UEFA Group Standings through Wednesday, September 9, 2009.
