Nesta and Raul were both given yellow cards as there was pushing and shoving after the play was whistled dead. Milan would not miss the following minute as Pato scored his second of the night. A great pass to the far post from Clarence Seedorf to Pato was volleyed past Casillas to make it 3-2 AC Milan in the 88th minute.
