Alcorcon beats Real Madrid 4-0 – Video Highlights
Alcorcon came out playing with confidence behind a home crowd. Borja Perez would give the home side a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute as Madrid were not in great form. Alcorcon continued their strong start and would get two more goals before halftime. Arbeloa of Real Madrid scored an own goal in the 21st minute and Ernest Gomez scored in the 39th to make it 3-0 at halftime.
A lot of credit should go to Alcorcon who played a solid match and converted their chances when they got them. They would add one more goal in the 51st minute as Perez scored once more to make it 4-0. Real Madrid dominated possession late in the match as Alcercon had most players back to preserve their lead.
It was a disappointing performance from Real Madrid who should win most matches against Segunda Division clubs, even if its on the road. Alcorcon came to play on Tuesday and deserved the win because they were the better team on that night.
