The English Premier League had four matches on Sunday, October 25, 2009 including West Ham United v Arsenal. The match important for West Ham who are struggling at the bottom of the table. Arsenal draws with West Ham United 2-2 – Video Highlights
There was a strong crowd at Upton Park to support West Ham as they hosted Arsenal. West Ham played a decent first few minutes but the class of Arsenal quickly showed. They would grab the lead in the 16th minute as Robin Van Persie would score in the 16th minute.
West Ham failed find Carlton Cole as they were often on their heels defensively or not able to send players forward for fear of an Arsenal counterattack. Arsenal would score once more in the 1st half on a goal from William Gallas to make it 2-0 after 45 minutes.
Down 0-2 at halftime, West Ham fought back and would get chances in the second half. They would score two goals within a six minute span. Carlton Cole scored on a header in the 74th minute and 80th minute Alessandro Diamanti converted a penalty kick.
It was a solid performance from West Ham to get a draw and disappointing from Arsenal who conceding two second half goals.
