Javier Savola got the scoring started with a 14th minute goal, followed by two more from Oscar Rene Cardoza in the 47th and 48th minute. The final two goals came from Anderson Luis Da Silva Luisao (52nd minute) and one more from Saviola in the 83rd minute.
Despite having more possession, Everton only managed 4 shots and 1 on goal. The club did not field their strongest side and is still in good position to advance to the knockout stage.
