Chelsea went top of the table with a 5-0 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers. The match was dominated by Chelsea and was a much needed win to put the pressure back on Man U who faces Liverpool on Sunday.
Stoke City got an upset with a 1-0 win at White Hart Lane against Tottenham. City is now middle of the table and in good position to avoid a relegation battle through 10 matches.
Birmingham City moved out of the relegation zone with a win at home as they now have 10 points. Wigan Athletic handed Burnley their first home loss of the 2009-10 season and jumped to 11th place with 13 points.
Hull City and Portsmouth played to a scoreless draw as the two teams appear to be in a season long relegation battle.
