mls_logo_bigThere was one match on Wednesday night in Major League Soccer as FC Dallas traveled to face the San Jose Earthquakes. It was a must win for Dallas to keep their playoff hopes alive. Here’s a recap of the match along with video highlights.

FC Dallas edges the San Jose Earthquakes 2-1 – Video Highlights

Jeff Cunningham scored a late goal to keep FC Dallas’ playoff hopes alive on Thursday night against the San Jose Earthquakes.

The first half was scoreless as all three goals came in the second half. Dallas took the lead in the 49th minute with a goal from David Arturo Rico Ferreira. The Earthquakes responded in the 73rd minute with a goal from Quincy Amarikwa. With Dallas needing a goal, Cunningham stepped up and delivered in the 81st minute.

It was a much needed win for Dallas who are now only 2 points behind the New England Revolution for the last playoff spot.
