Rangers v Celtic – Sun, October 3 – Scottish Premier League – Video Preview – TV (SkySports 3 – UK)
Celtic have started out much strong than Rangers in the SPL as they currently have a 4 point lead through 6 matches. The visiting side has yet to lose with a 5-1-0 record while Rangers have a 3-3-0 record.
Both teams can recover from a loss but its a crucial game for Rangers who were embarassed in the Champions League in the midweek with a 1-4 loss. A win would move them within 1 point of Celtic and some momentum. Rangers have several injuries and could be with two forwards for the matches. Kenny Miller and Kyle Lafferty could miss Sunday’s match. Celtic do not have the same injury concerns and will have most of their top players available.
Celtic has been in the better form to start the season and is currently the favorites to win the match. The most likely result is a draw but with any result it should be very close. It will be a raucous crowd at Ibrox and will probably be a low-scoring match.
Prediction
While Rangers have struggled to start the season they will be able to earn a draw against Celtic. The match is always very competitive and this year should be no different. It will end in a 1-1 draw.
