FULL-TIME: HEREFORD UNITED 1 MK DONS 4
Comfortable from the Dons in the end, who register their most impressive result in recent weeks to cruise into the area finals.
Sam Baldock got the ball rolling after six minutes of a first half the Dons controlled – sweeping home Jason Puncheon’s cross from the right.
Leon Constantine thought he’d brought Hereford back into contention when he levelled just after the hour mark.
But the brilliant Jason Puncheon snatched the lead back for the visitors with a clever lob over Adam Bartlett, before sub Aaron Wilbraham and Jermaine Easter took them out of sight.
All the reaction to come from Edgar Street, as Paul Ince’s outstanding record in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy continues.
