Arsenal 1-3 Manchester United – Video Highlights
Manchester United moved within one point of Chelsea with a 3-1 win at the Emirates against Arsenal.
It was not Arsenal’s day and that was evident with an own goal conceded in the 33rd minute. It was an attacking play by Arsenal and a cross sent in that Almunia went to make a save but instead knocked the ball into the back of the net. It would only get worse for the Gunners as Wayne Rooney scored in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0 and Ji-Sung Park made it 3-0 in the 52nd minute.
Arsenal made a late charge in the final 30 minutes and would score one goal, as Thomas Vermaelen made it 1-3 in the 80th minute. It was too little and too late as Arsenal could not overcome the three goal deficit. The loss doesn’t put Arsenal out of the title race but definitely puts more pressure on the rest of the season.
