Olympiacos 0-1 Bordeaux – Match Recap – Champions League – 23 February 2010
Two teams who aren’t favorites in the UEFA Champions League tournament met in the first leg of the round of 16 on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 as Olympiacos hosted Bordeaux. Olympiacos has struggled to score goals in the group stage but played solid defense. Bordeaux played strong defense as well but was able to provide more scoring. Neither team are a favorite to win the tournament.

Bordeaux got an important away goal and a 1-0 lead heading to France for the second leg.
The goal came in the 45th minute and was scored by Michael Ciani. It was a result of a free kick on the left wing about 35 or so yards from goal.
Ciani headed it into the back of the net and that was all that Bordeaux needed to win the match. They now have a 1-0 lead heading back to France for the second leg
