The goal came in the 45th minute and was scored by Michael Ciani. It was a result of a free kick on the left wing about 35 or so yards from goal.
Ciani headed it into the back of the net and that was all that Bordeaux needed to win the match. They now have a 1-0 lead heading back to France for the second leg
