The United States played their last match on American soil before heading off to South Africa with a friendly against Turkey on Saturday, May 29, 2010. The roster has been narrowed down to the final 23 so the USA will be playing many of their regular starters who sat out the friendly last Tuesday against the Czech Republic.

United States (USA) 2-1 Turkey Recap
The United States would struggle in the first half but rallied back in the second half to get a 2-1 win.
Turkey came out much stronger in the first half and would eventually take the lead with a 27th minute goal from Arda Turan.
In the second half, Bob Bradley made several changes which included Robbie Findley, Steve Cherundolo, and Jose Francisco Torres. The substitutions would make an impact as Findley sent a pass to Landon Donovan who would get behind the defense and pass to Jozy Altidore for a goal. It came in the 59th minute. The next goal would come from Clint Dempsey who scored from close range.
Overall, the USA’s defending was not great but they did improve in the second half. There’s still a lot of improvement for the Americans but the second half is encouraging for their World Cup chances.
