It was a defensive match for both sides but eventually Slovenia broke through with a 79th Robert Koren goal. The goal only minutes after Algeria were reduced to ten men with a second yellow (red card) for Abdelkader Ghezzal.
It proved to be enough to give his side a 1-0 victory. Both teams must now playing matches against the two toughest teams in the group, the USA and England. Algeria’s chances are slim and must hope for two great results in matches where they will not be favored.
