New York Football Challenge Schedule; Red Bulls To Face Man City & Spurs
The New York Football Challenge, a set of friendlies involving the New York Red Bulls and several European sides, is set to take place in a few weeks. There are three days of matches as the Red bulls will take on English Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. City and Spurs will also play Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon during the mini tournament. All of the matches will be aired on Fox Soccer Channel in the United States. International television listings will be posted later with match previews closer to the start of the matches.
Below is the full schedule of matches along with how the point scoring system to determine a winner.
New York Football Challenge Schedule (times listed are USA Eastern Time)
Day 1: Thursday, July 22: Red Bulls vs. Tottenham Hotspur – 8:00 PM
Day 2: Friday, July 23: Manchester City vs. Sporting Lisbon – 8:00 PM
Day 3: Sunday, July 25: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Sporting Lisbon – 1:00 PM; Red Bulls vs. Manchester City – 3:30 PM
Points are scored as follows:
- Individual game winner – 3 points
- Drawn game – 1 point
- Goals scored – 1 point per goal
