Real Madrid would have most of the chances in the match but had to get a goal in stoppage time to salvage a draw.

The first half was one sided with Real Madrid having most of the chances but failing to convert. It could have easily been a two or three goal lead but AC Milan was able to stay in the match. The lone goal in the first half  was byGonzalo Higuain in the 45th minute.

Two goals from Filippo Inzaghi in the 68th minute and 78th minute would give Milan a surprise lead. It was against the run of play and the second goal from Inzaghi was offside but allowed to stand.

As the match neared the end, Real Madrid looked for an equalizer and would get one in stoppage time. Pedro Leon would score from close range with a shot that went through the goalkeeper’s legs.

Real Madrid now has 10 points through four matches while AC Milan is in second place with four points.
