Celtic cruised into the final of the Scottish League Cup with a 4-1 win over Aberdeen at Hampden Park.
Kris Commons gave Celtic a 1-0 lead in the 6th minute followed by a Charlie Mulgrew 10th minute goal and a Thomas Rogne 21sth minute goal. Anthony Stokes made it 4-0 with a 34th minute goal from a penalty as Aberdeen’s chances of winning the match were slim.
Aberdeen did get a goal in the 61st minute as Scott Vernon scored but it was too little too late. Celtic would hold on for a 4-1 win and will face the winner of Rangers v Motherwell on Sunday.
The final of the Scottish League Cup will take place at Hampden Park with the kickoff time and date to be announced later.
