It was a back and forth match that ultimately ended in a 2-2 draw

The home side started out strong with a 1st minute goal from Souleymane Bamba in the 1st minute. After going down 1-0 early, Man City replied with a 23rd minute James Milner goal and 45th minute Carlos Tevez goal to make it 1-2 by halftime.

A mistake from Man City goalkeeper Joe Hart would allow Leicester to get back in the match. Andy King would pounce on Hart’s mishandling of a cross and level the match in the 64th minute. The match was tied at 2-2 with about 25 minutes remaining.

Both teams had chances during the end of the match but neither could break the tie. The draw means there will be a replay at the City of Manchester Stadium where the home side will be heavily favored to win.

The winner of the replay (to be played on January 19) will play Notts County in the 4th round.
