France 1-0 Brazil Recap
France continued their strong form against Brazil with a win at the Stade de France.
The turning point in the match came in the 40th minute when Brazil’s Hernanes was given a red card. While Karim Benzema was hitting the ball into the air off his knee, Hernanes came in for a challenge. He ended up catching Benzema in his chest with his foot and the referee had little choice but to issue the red card.
The red card would be a major factor as France would get chances early in the second half. They would convert one of those in the 54th minute as Jeremy Menez sent a cross to the far post where Benzema easily tapped it into the back of the net.
The goal would be enough for France as Brazil struggled to create many chances.
