The Gunners scored early and held on for a 1-0 lead in the first leg of the playoff qualifying round.
Aaron Ramsey would get down the right flank and send a cross to Theo Walcott in the 4th minute. Walcott easily redirected the cross from close range to make it 1-0. Arsenal would continue to get chances throughout the match but only scored once. Udinese did have some chances and will like their chances with the second leg at Italy.
The return leg will be at Udinese next Wednesday with the winner moving into the Champions League Group Stage.
