England v Netherlands Friendly Called Off Due To After London Riots

The England v Netherlands friendly on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 has been called off due to several nights of rioting in London. The riots have caused several cancelled fixtures including Carling Cup matches and now this international friendly. The English FA’s official website had the statement below on the decision.

Wednesday’s international fixture called off.

It is with regret that tomorrow’s (Wednesday 10 August) international fixture with Holland at Wembley has been called off.
