FC Barcelona continued their recent dominance in the El Clasico with a 2-1 win at the Bernabeu.
It was a good start for Los Blancos (Real Madrid) as Cristiano Ronaldo would make it 1-0 in the 11th minute. Ronaldo dribbled into the box before sending a left shot between the legs of Barca goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto. It was a decent shot from Ronaldo but poor play from Pinto who should have made the save.
The goal gave Real Madrid the momentum early but Barcelona would respond with two second half goals. The first was a 49th minute header from Carlos Puyol following a corner kick. The winning goal would was from Eric Abidal in the 77th minute. Lionel Messi assisted on the goal with a chip over the defense and to Abidal making a run into the box.
The first leg win has Barcelona in control with the second leg at the Nou Camp next Wednesday.
