German Bundesliga Recap – 11 February 2012

Below are brief recaps for all the Bundesliga matches played on February 11, 2012.

Bayer Munich 2-0 Kaiserslautern

Bayern keeps pace with Dortmund with a clean sheet. Both goals came in the first half as Bayern held Kaiserslautern to one shot on goal.

Borussia Dortmund 1-0 Bayer Leverkusen

Borussia Dortmund remains on top of the table with a narrow victory. Shinji Kagawa scored the lone goal of the match. Bayer Leverkusen stays in the last Europa League spot.

Mainz 1-1 Hannover 96

Mainz had a 1-0 for most of the match until Hannover’s Artur Sobiech scored in the 89th minute. Hannover are just out of the last Europa League spot while Mainz moves up to 12th place.

Stuttgart 5-0 Hertha Berlin

A thoroughly dominating victory for Stuttgart. Hertha Berlin failed to get a shot on goal and are only two points above the relegation zone.

Werder Bremen 1-1 Hoffenheim

Werder Bremen scored a late goal to salvage a draw. Hoffenheim drops to 10th place in the table while Bremen are in 5th place.

Monchengladbach 3-0 Schalke

Borussia Monchengladbach continues their strong season with their 13th win of the season. All three goals were scored in the first half as Schalke had only one shot on goal in the entire match. Monchengladbach had conceded a Bundesliga low 12 goals through 21 matches.
