Below are brief recaps for all the FA Cup matches on March 18, 2012.
Chelsea 5-2 Leicester City
Fernando Torres ended his goal drought with a brace. Chelsea never trailed in the match had built a 2-0 lead by the 17th minute on goals from Gary Cahill and Salomon Kalou. Raul Meireles scored the other goal for Chelsea while Jermaine Beckford and Ben Marshall scored two late goals for Leicester City. Chelsea will play either Tottenham or Bolton in the semifinals.
Liverpool 2-1 Stoke City
Liverpool edged Stoke on a 57th minute Stuart Downing goal. The two teams traded first half goals as Stoke’s Peter Crouch scored in the 26th minute and Luis Suarze opened the scoring in the 23rd minute. Liverpool could meet rivals Everton in the semifinals which will take place at Wembley Stadium in April.
