Schalke cruised to a win at over Hannover and Hamburg were held to a draw by Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga on April 8, 2012.

Hamburg 1-1 Bayer Leverkusen
The home side took a first lead on a Mladen Petric penalty kick but Leverkusen equalized with a Andre Schurrle goal. Hamburg moves up a spot to 14th with the point but still have a lot of work to avoid relegation. Leverkusen are in 6th place, ahead of Hannover and Werder Bremen on goal difference.
