English Premier League Weekday Recap – 2 May 2012

Newcastle won at Stamford Bridge and Tottenham had no trouble with Bolton in the English Premier League on Wednesday, May 2, 2012.

Chelsea 0-2 Newcastle United

Newcastle’s hopes of the UEFA Champions League remained alive with a great away win. Cisse scored both goals for Newcastle and now has 13 goals in 12 EPL matches. Chelsea are four points behind Newcastle and Tottenham in the race for the last Champions League spot.

Bolton Wanderers 1-4 Tottenham Hotspur

Emmanuel Adebayor scored two second half goals to keep Spurs in fourth place. They are only point behind Arsenal for third with two matches remaining. Luke Modric and Rafael Van der Vaart scored the other goals for Tottenham while Bolton’s lone goal was scored by Nigel Reo-Coker.
