Below is a recap for all the AFC (Asia) 2014 World Cup Qualifying matches on June 8, 2012.

Group A

Lebanon 1-1 Uzbekistan

A 12th minute Jasur Khasanov strike gave Uzbekistan the lead but Lebanon equalized with a Ali Al Saadi 34th minute goal. Both teams have a 0-1-1 record in qualifying and at the bottom of Group A.

Qatar 1-4 South Korea

Korea moves on top of Group A behind a Lee Keun-Ho brace while Shin-Wook Kim and Kwak Tae-Hwi scored the other goals. It was a good start for Qatar as Yusuf Ahmed scored the opening goal (22nd minute) but the lead only lasted for four minutes.

Group B

Japan 6-0 Jordan

A dominating performance from Japan who had a hat trick from Keisuke Honda along with goals from Shinji Kagawa, Ryoichi Maeda, and Yuzo Kurihara. Japan are a perfect 2-0-0 in qualifying and have yet to concede a goal.

Oman 0-0 Australia

A bit of a disappointment from Australia who are in the middle of Group B through one match. Oman are not expected to earn one of the two automatic qualifying spots while Australia face Japan in a crucial match next Tuesday.
