The 2012 Major League All-Star starters have been announced and is led by three Sporting Kansas City players, two from the Los Angeles Galaxy, two from the New York Red Bulls, and two from the San Jose Earthquakes.

Landon Donovan leads the list of players followed by David Beckham, Thierry Henry, and Dwayne De Rosario. Other players selected include Sporting KC’s Jimmy Nielsen at Goalkeeper, San Jose’s Chris Wondolowski, and former USA International Jay DeMerit. The All-Star team will face Chelsea at PPL Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.

The MLS All-Stars had been undefeated against international competition for several years lost to Everton in 2009 and to Manchester United the last two years. The rest of the MLS All-Star Squad will be announced later and there will likely be some changes to the starting line-up due to injuries.

The match will be televised on ESPN in the United States and various outlets across the world.

Defenders: Steven Beitashour (San Jose Earthquakes), Aurélien Collin (Sporting Kansas City), Jay DeMerit(Vancouver Whitecaps FC), Heath Pearce (New York Red Bulls)

Midfielders: David Beckham (LA Galaxy), Dwayne De Rosario (D.C. United), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy),Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City)

Forwards: Thierry Henry (New York Red Bulls), Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes)
