World Football Challenge – Match Previews – 28 July 2012
The World Football Challenge continues on Saturday with Chelsea taking on AC Milan and MLS side DC United hosting French side Paris Saint-Germain. PSG are the clear favorite against DC while the Chelsea/Milan match is expected to be very competitive.
Chelsea v AC Milan, 6:30 PM (USA EST)
Both teams are major clubs and this could be a preview of an upcoming Champions League knockout stage match. Chelsea do have several new players and are still trying to build chemistry. Milan have had several players leave this summer and are in a rebuilding phase. Chelsea, at least on paper, have the stronger side and will be the favorites.
DC United v Paris Saint-Germain, 7:30 PM (USA EST)
DC will face a tough test against a deep and very talented PSG side. PSG have added players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Marco Veratti, and Ezequiel Lavazzi. It is a friendly and DC’s chances will be improved with a PSG side with several new players. The depth of PSG will likely result in a lopsided second half as both teams make several substitutions.
