Swansea City 0-3 Everton

The Toffees moved up to second place with their third win of the season. It was a bit of surprise result as Swansea have had a decent start and usually tough at home. Everton had a 2-0 lead at halftime and the result was not really in doubt after a 58th minute red card to Swansea’s Nathan Dyer.

Chelsea 1-0 Stoke City

The home side struggled to break down an organized Stoke side but eventually took the lead on an Ashley Cole goal. Fernando Torres, who had some decent chances in the match, still has been unable to show the form and consistency of his Liverpool days. Chelsea are three points clear at the top of the table.

The first points of the season for Southampton who recovered from an 0-1 deficit. It’s a solid win for Southampton who had a tough start to the season with matches against Manchester City, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

63′ Nathaniel Clyne 2 – 1
