Pescara 1-0 Palermo

Pescara earned their first win of the Serie A season thanks to an 86th minute Vladimir Weiss goal. Palermo’s Steven von Bergen was sent off in the first half and put the visitors in a defensive position. Palermo have yet to win a match this season and scored only one goal through five matches.

Milan got a much needed win to move into 10th place in the Italian Serie A table. It’s been a tough start for the perennial title contenders who are already seven points back of leaders Juventus. Stephan El Shaarawy led the way with a brace for Milan.

Roma 1-1 Sampdoria

A first half Francesco Totti goal wouldn’t hold up as Sampdoria leveled in the second half to force a draw. The goal was a bit unexpected as Sampdoria had gone a man down in the 46th minute. Both teams are in the top half of the table and expected to be contending for a European spot.

Catania 2-1 Atalanta

Catania scored two unanswered second half goals to move into the top half of the Italian Serie A table. Atalanta had a early second half lead but couldn’t stop a Catania comeback with two goals in a 12 minute span.

Chievo Verona 0-2 Inter Milan

Inter Milan are up to fourth place with their third road win of the Italian Serie A season. Alvaro Perreira and Antonio Cassano provided the goals for Inter. Chievo are just above the bottom three with one win and four losses through five matches.

Genoa 1-1 Parma

Parma took a first half lead but Genoa clawed their way back to salvage a draw at home.

Napoli 3-0 Lazio

It was the Edinson Cavani show as he scored a hat trick to lead Napoli. He nearly had a fourth but missed a penalty kick in the 76th minute. The win moves Napoli level on points with Juventus at the top of the table while Lazio move down to fifth place.

Torino 0-0 Udinese

A bit of disappointing result for Udinese are in the bottom half of the table. It’s a solid result for newly promoted Torino who have only conceded three goals through five matches.
